Can Polycystic Kidneys Develops Complex Cysts

Q: My friend has recently been found to have Polycysitc Kidney Disease. He is 23 years old. Both his mother and his elder brother also have it. What I really want to know can Polycystic Kidneys develop complex cysts? He kept MRI at a regular basis, which measured 5cm cyst and 3.7cm cyst in the kidneys. His doctor said he also developed complex cyst. Is it possible? But, his doctor said not to worry about it, only repeated MRI is necessary. Is there any choices for the management in complex cysts and polycystic kidney disease? I really want to some to help him deal with this. Thanks.

A: thanks for reading my blog and leave a message to me. It is possible for patients with PKD to be affected with complex cysts. As long as a person is diagnosed with PKD, only waiting and follow up with repeated MRI is not enough to control its development.

If your friend does nothing helpful to reduce the progression of Kidney Damage or enlargement of Kidney Cysts, his PKD may develop into Kidney Failure or even End Stage Renal Disease eventually.

As you mentioned his larger cysts are already about 5cm and 3.7cm, the cysts are large enough to cause kidney infections and damages. I am unable to tell the detailed suggestions for your friend, for I didn’t get his medical report from you. (see my contact email: kidneyask@hotmail.com).

But, anyway, it is necessary for your friend to take treatments which can help shrink the kidney cysts as soon as possible. To achieve this goal, maybe both surgery and natural specific herbs are suggested. See how to get the recommended herbs and surgeries list.
